WELCOME TO PALMETTO BLUFF: Martin and Kelly hosted friends and family the night before the wedding at Moreland Landing in Palmetto Bluff, with oyster-inspired decor.
CUSTOM CANS: The first of many surprises that weekend, customized "oyster " cans with photographs and text inspired by groom Martin's childhood decorated the tables. Weeks prior, Kelly conspired with Martin's family to send the photos and facts to the Jardiniere design team. |
A SPECTACULAR SURPRISE: Martin wanted to give Kelly a gift that incorporated the number "472 " -- the number of days they were engaged to be married. Terry and Dakotah flew in 472 English garden roses (Martin is from England) and wove them into a garland of magnolia and ruscus framing the large window at the back of the May River Chapel. Keeping it a secret from Kelly was very hard, but the pictures below of her reaction are priceless!

ALL TOGETHER NOW: The veranda off the River Room restaurant in the Montage Palmetto Bluff provided the perfect spot for Kelly and Martin's long table, shaped like an "L" to follow the wraparound porch. Guests enjoyed a plated dinner with no detail left unnoticed, down to the embroidered napkins at each place setting.
